You can find Satluj Tour & Travels at Shop No 5 in Mandi. We are very close to the main bus stand, which is why we stay so busy most of the time. It is a small shop, but it works for what we need. Being in Mandi - 175001 means we are right in the heart of the town. Most of our days are spent talking to travelers who just got off a bus and are looking for a way to get further into the hills. We have been here for a good amount of time now. It is a family-run kind of thing, nothing too fancy or polished. We handle the local travel stuff and try to help people figure out their timings. The bus stand area is always noisy and crowded, but that's just part of the job we do. We don't use any slick marketing. People just walk in because they see the sign on the shop. We talk about the roads, the weather, and how long it takes to get to places like Shimla or Manali. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. We just pull up another chair and talk. It’s a simple life for us. We open early because the buses start early. We stay late if there is someone who needs help with a late arrival. That is how we have always done things here in this shop.
