Platinum Social Welfare Foundation is on the first floor of the Mini Market in Nerchowk. We are right beside the Samsung Care Center, so it’s easy to find us if you’re on Ratti Road. Mandi is a busy place, and being in the market means we are always around people. The office isn't much to look at, just a plain space where we handle our daily work. We don't have a receptionist or a big waiting room. Usually, you just come up the stairs and we are there. We’ve been in Himachal Pradesh for a while now, and we like being part of the local scene. It gets a bit noisy with all the traffic and the shoppers below, but that’s fine with us. We aren't a big fancy outfit. It’s just a few local people trying to help out where they can. We don't use big words or have complicated processes. If something needs doing, we just try to figure out the best way to do it. Our chairs are a bit old and the tea is usually strong. We don't spend money on things we don't need. It’s a practical setup for people who live and work in Mandi. We just take things one day at a time and try to be helpful. No one here is looking for fame. We just want to do our part for the community. It is a simple, straightforward operation for the folks around here.
