Mandi Art Group

Mandi Art Group is located up in Village Satahan, which is part of the Lagdhar post office area in Himachal Pradesh. We are situated in the Sadar Tehsil of Mandi district, surrounded by the hills. It’s a very quiet place, which is perfect for the kind of work we do. Our workshop is just a simple building where we gather to work on various artistic projects. It’s usually a bit of a mess, with paint tins, brushes, and raw materials lying around on the benches. We don't have a gallery or a formal reception area. Most of the time, we are just busy creating things and don't really worry about how the place looks to outsiders. The mountain air is good for staying focused, though it can get quite cold in the winter months. We don't have a big website or a social media person. Most of the work we get comes from people who have seen our stuff in the local area or heard about us from a friend. It’s a slow and steady way of working, far away from the rush of the big cities. Sometimes we take a break and just look out at the mountains for a while before getting back to our tools. We’ve been part of this village for a long time and the people here know us well. It’s just a small group of us doing what we enjoy, making art in a way that feels right for our surroundings.
