Kayra Micro Foundation

Kayra Micro Foundation is based in the New Mandi area. We are located right across the street from the Central Bank and very close to the Vedanta School. It is a very convenient spot for us because almost everything we need is just a short walk away. The office itself is quite modest and small. We have one main room where most of the daily work happens and a smaller area in the back for storage. Being so near the school means there is a lot of activity and noise in the mornings and afternoons when the kids are coming or going. It keeps the energy of the place high, which we like. Opposite our building, the Central Bank is always busy, so there is a lot of foot traffic on our street throughout the day. We mostly focus on micro-level foundation work, helping out individuals or small local groups with their needs. We are not a large institution by any stretch of the imagination. It is just a few of us trying to keep things organized and moving forward. We spend a lot of our time on our computers or chatting with people who walk into the office. Our furniture is a bit mismatched, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint at some point, but it really does not bother us. We care much more about getting the actual work done than how the office looks.
