Himachal Pradesh I&Ph Department

Our office is tucked away in Kango-Ka-Gehra, which is a small village area in the Sarkaghat part of Mandi. It is a quiet place compared to the bigger towns. Being part of the I&Ph department here means we spend a lot of time dealing with the local geography. The hills around here are beautiful but they make the work interesting, to say the least. We are just a group of people working out of this local spot to keep things running. Most of the staff comes from nearby villages, so we all know the terrain well. It is not a shiny new building; it is just a practical space where we keep our tools and records. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, especially when the rains hit Mandi hard, but we manage. We are not here to make big speeches or anything. The day starts early, and we usually have a lot of ground to cover. People around the village know where to find us if there is a problem with the pipes or the water supply. It is a hands-on kind of job. We just try to stay busy and make sure the systems stay functional for everyone living out here. It is simple work but it is what we do. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks that come our way in this part of Himachal Pradesh.
