Him Jeev Kalyan Foundation

Him Jeev Kalyan Foundation is situated in Village Tawan, right near the PO Kummiteh-Balh area. We are in the Balh tehsil of Mandi, specifically at the location cared for by Param Dev. It is a very rural and quiet setting, which really suits the kind of work we do every day. Mandi is a great region to be in, but being out in a village like Tawan means that things move a bit slower than in the city. Our office is a basic structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we just have our basic equipment and a lot of paper records. We spend a lot of our time dealing with local issues and trying to help out the residents of Balh and Lohara. It is a small team working here. Most of us have lived in this part of Himachal Pradesh our whole lives. We know the local roads and the people in the community very well. The address might seem long when you have to write it out on a form, but everyone around here knows exactly where Param Dev’s place is. We do not have a big corporate budget to work with, so we just use what we have as efficiently as possible. Sometimes we even meet under the big trees nearby if the office gets a bit too stuffy during the summer. It is a very grounded and honest way to work for us.
