Gupta Provisional Store

We are located in Sunder Nagar, specifically near the bridge on National Highway 21 in the Vayala area. Gupta Provisional Store has been a part of this community for a long time. Being right by the main mazar means we see a lot of people coming and going. The sound of the highway is something you just get used to after a while. We sell the usual things like flour, pulses, spices, and household cleaners. It’s a very practical business. We don't have a big staff, usually just myself or my brother behind the counter. The shop is packed with bags and containers because we try to stock enough so that no one goes away disappointed. It gets dusty being so close to the highway bridge, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the jars and shelves. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the locals can get their groceries without having to travel too far. Sometimes a truck driver will pull over for a bottle of water or some snacks before heading back out on the road. It’s interesting to hear where they’re coming from. Our prices are kept simple and fair. We know the people of Vayala well and they know us. It’s a straightforward way to run a shop, and we’re happy to be here doing this work every day.
