Up in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, you can find our team working on the Parbati H.E. Project Stage-II. Our office is located in the village of Sainj, which is part of the Kullu district. It’s a beautiful place to see, but the actual work is quite tough. Gammon India Limited is based right here to stay as close as possible to the project site. The air is always crisp, but the steep terrain makes every task a bit more complicated. We aren't in a standard office building like you see in the city. It’s more of a site office that was built for pure functionality. We deal with the local weather and the narrow, winding roads every single day. It’s a completely different world compared to our offices down in the plains. Everything we do here is focused on the project at hand. We don't have the typical amenities you might expect from a city branch. Most of our day is spent coordinating logistics and managing the site details from our small base in Sainj village. It’s a tight-knit group of us working up here. We live and work in the same small community, so everyone knows everyone else. The local post office and village life are all part of our daily routine now. It’s a hardworking environment where the results matter much more than how things look. We just get on with the job.
