Our office for Fabcoast India Private Limited is situated on the first floor right behind the Chandak Eye Hospital. We are located near Agra Gate, which is right in the middle of the Sabzi Mandi area. Because of the vegetable market, the street is always packed with people, carts, and cows from very early in the morning. The smell of fresh greens and onions is everywhere. To get to us, you have to find the small entrance and head up the stairs. The building is older and the steps are a little uneven, so you have to watch your footing. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the chaos below, which is always interesting to watch during the busy morning auctions. We deal with textiles and have samples hanging all over the walls. It is a noisy place because of the market shouts and the horns from Agra Gate, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants that are mostly covered in city dust. Our desks are old wooden ones and the ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it is on high. It is a very local way of doing business and we know the tea seller and the guard at the hospital quite well. We stay busy with the trade and the constant movement of the market.
