Dear & Dears Construction is run by Gurdev Kumar and the family over in Pandoh. We are located right in the VPO Pandoh area of Mandi. It’s a busy little spot near the river. We handle a lot of the small-scale building needs for the folks living in Tehsil Sadar. Most of our work is pretty straightforward, like putting up walls, fixing roofs after the heavy rains, or helping someone level out a bit of land. We’ve lived here a long time, so we know how the ground behaves when it gets wet. That’s important for building foundations. We don't have fancy brochures. Most people just call Gurdev or stop by the house to talk about what they need. We have a small crew of regulars who have been with us for years. They know how to work hard and they don't complain about the sun. We try to keep our prices fair because we have to see these people every day at the tea shop. It’s a small community. If you do a bad job, everyone hears about it. We just try to do things the right way the first time. Sometimes we are waiting on supplies to arrive from Mandi town, but usually, we keep enough on hand to keep moving. It’s just us, working with our hands, trying to make a living in the mountains. We enjoy the work despite the tired bones at night.
