Badash Foundation

We are the Badash Foundation, and you can find our office at House No. 1 on the first floor of Thakur Niwas. This is located right in Shimla Urban, which can be a very busy and crowded part of town depending on the season. Being on the first floor is quite nice because we get a decent view of the street and people walking by below. Shimla is such a different place to have an office because of the steep hills and the constant weather changes. Thakur Niwas is an older building with a lot of character and history. We have been based here for a while now. Our workspace is filled with simple desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of notebooks. We do not have fancy carpets or any of that modern office lighting. It is just a practical place where we can sit down and get our tasks done. Most of the time, the only sounds you hear are typing or people talking quietly on their phones. We work on various foundation projects throughout the week. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor feel a bit steep after a long day of work, but we really don't mind. We like being right in the heart of Shimla. It makes us feel like we are part of the daily life of the city. We do not spend money on big advertisements. We just focus on our work and let that be enough.
