Ajay Wadhawan & Co

Our office is right across from the Bhiuli Bridge here in Mandi. The address is 261/13, but most people just look for the bridge and they find us easily enough. It’s a good landmark. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. It’s a standard office setup—nothing that would win any design awards, but it works for what we do. We mostly deal with accounting and tax stuff for the local shops and people around town. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, and sometimes a lot of talking when things get complicated with the rules. We aren't a massive firm with branches everywhere. It’s just Ajay and a couple of others keeping things moving. We like being in Mandi; it’s got a good feel to it. The river is right there, and though we don't always have time to look at it, it’s nice knowing it’s close. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We just provide a service that people need. Some days are busier than others, especially when deadlines are coming up, and the office can get a little messy with papers. But we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the tasks finished so people can get on with their lives. It’s a quiet, decent way to earn a living and help the neighborhood out. There is always someone coming by with a new problem to solve.
