G. D. Impex

G. D. Impex is tucked away at 126, Sec.23-A, right at the backside of the Cheema Filling Station. If you miss the turn at the petrol pump, you’ll have to go all the way around again. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but that suits us just fine. We handle impex work, which means a lot of boxes, a lot of tape, and even more paperwork. The office is small and usually covered in stacks of manifests and shipping labels. Out the back, we have a small yard where the crates sit before they get moved out. It’s not a very glamorous job, mostly just checking lists and making sure the right items are in the right containers. We get a lot of noise from the filling station next door, especially the trucks idling, but you get used to it after a week or two. The guys who work here are local, and we usually spend our breaks sitting on the loading dock talking about nothing in particular. We don't have a big corporate mission or anything; we just try to get the crates packed and the trucks moving so we can get home to our families. It’s a bit messy, and sometimes we lose a pen or two in the stacks of paper, but the work gets done. It’s just a regular day at G. D. Impex, right there behind the gas station.
