B. Ramchander

My name is B. Ramchander and I work out of my place at H No.17-77 in Ambedkar Colony. It’s over in Old Mancherial, a spot I've called home for many years. I started this small business because I wanted to do something for myself instead of working for someone else. I mostly handle local contracting and odd jobs that people in the colony need help with. It’s not a big company with a logo or anything like that. People just know my name and where I live. If there’s work to be done, they usually just walk over to my house or give me a call. I keep my tools and equipment in the back. Some days are slow and I just spend time fixing things around the yard, but then a big project comes along and I’m busy from sunrise to sunset. I don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. I just try to do the work as it comes and hope the customers are satisfied enough to tell their neighbors. Old Mancherial is a tight community, so your reputation is everything. I’ve had some tough times where projects took longer than expected or materials were hard to find, but I always finish what I start. It’s just me and a couple of helpers when things get heavy. We’re just regular folks trying to make a living in the colony.
