Vettri Fly Ash Bricks

Our place, Vettri Fly Ash Bricks, is situated right along the Madurai to Rameswaram Road in Thirupuvanam. It’s a good location because the road is always busy and it’s easy for the big lorries to turn in and out without causing a headache. We work specifically with fly ash bricks, which are a bit different from the traditional red ones you see everywhere. We’ve spent a lot of time learning the best way to handle these and making sure they’re solid enough for whatever people are building. The sun gets really hot on this stretch of road, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning before it gets unbearable. We don't have any fancy brochures or a glossy office. Usually, it’s just us sitting under the shade for a minute between loading up orders. People from all over Thirupuvanam come to us because we’ve been here for a while and they know we won’t give them a hard time. We just count out the bricks, load them up, and send them on their way. It’s repetitive work, day in and day out, but it’s what we do. We like the fact that we’re helping people build things that will last a long time. It’s just a basic yard with a lot of grey bricks and a few hard-working people. We stay busy through every season of the year.
