Nanda Medicinal Plants Export

Our place is out in Mansari, near Haripur in the Kullu district. It is a quiet area, far away from the big city noise. At Nanda Medicinal Plants Export, we spend most of our time with herbs and roots. The air here usually smells like dried plants and earth. We get stuff brought in from the higher hills. Then we spend the day sorting through it, cleaning things up, and getting them ready to go out. It’s tedious work sometimes, sitting on stools and looking at leaves for hours. We don't have a big fancy warehouse, just a sturdy building that keeps the rain off. The mountains are all around us, which is nice to look at when we take a break. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We know each other well and there’s usually some music playing in the background. Dealing with medicinal plants is tricky because you have to be careful with how they are handled. We don’t claim to be experts, but we’ve learned a lot just by doing it every day. The post office at Haripur handles our mail. If you ever visit Kullu, you’ll find that life is just simpler here. We aren't in a hurry. We just focus on the plants and making sure they are packed right before they leave Mansari to go where they are needed.
