Vijay Cement

Vijay Cement is located at 5/4 Valadi Main Road in Maruthi Nagar. We are right near the Ayyanar Bakery & Sweet Shop, which is a bit of a problem because the smell of fresh sweets is always drifting over here. We’ve been selling cement from this spot for several years now. It’s a heavy job, moving bags around and keeping everything organized in the yard. My clothes are almost always covered in a bit of grey dust, but that’s just part of the trade. We aren’t some big corporate chain with a shiny storefront. It’s just a practical yard where we keep our stock. Most of our customers are folks from the neighborhood building their own homes or small contractors working on local jobs. We know most of them by name. The traffic on Valadi Main Road can be a bit much in the afternoons, but it brings people by. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just answer the phone and help people figure out how many bags they need for their projects. Sometimes we have to wait on deliveries ourselves, and things get a bit backed up, but we do our best to stay on top of it. It’s a simple business. We buy the cement, we store it, and we sell it to people who need it. That’s really all there is to it. We don't mind the hard work as long as the bills get paid.
