Shri Nursing Home Hospital

Over here in Malkapur, which is part of Buldhana, we have been running Shri Nursing Home Hospital. It’s an older building, but we try to keep it in good shape. The paint is peeling a little in the corners, but the floors are always scrubbed clean. Most of the people who work here live right in town, so we all walk or bike to work. It’s a busy place, especially on Mondays when everyone seems to realize they are sick after the weekend. We have a few beds for people who need to stay over for a night or two. The nursing staff is usually busy changing sheets or checking temperatures. We don't have a big cafeteria, so most of us bring a tiffin from home and eat together in the small back room. You can hear the sounds of the street from the windows, which is just part of being in Malkapur. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have a lot of families visiting at once, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest hospital around; we just provide a place for people to get seen. We have a small garden in the back with some marigolds and a neem tree, which is a nice spot to take a breath when things get stressful. It’s just a plain, honest place where we spend our days looking after our neighbors and keeping things moving along as best we can.
