Sher Mohammad & Sons Military Store

Sher Mohammad & Sons Military Store is located at Satta Chowk, very close to the bus stand. Because of the location, there is always a lot of activity and noise around us. Buses are constantly arriving and leaving, and the chowk is full of people. Our shop is an old one, and it’s packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of military gear and uniforms. We have belts, caps, badges, and heavy boots on all the shelves. It has that specific smell of leather and new fabric inside. It’s a family-run business, and there are usually a few of us here to help people find what they need. We don’t use any fancy computers; we just rely on knowing where everything is kept. Some of the items are way up high, so we have to use an old ladder to get to them. Being so close to the road means a lot of dust gets inside, so we are always wiping down the counters. We often spend time just talking with the people who are waiting for their bus outside. The floor is made of old wood and it’s worn down from years of customers coming in. It’s a very simple, practical shop for people who need gear without any nonsense. We’ve been at Satta Chowk for a long time and we’re just used to the chaos of the bus stand nearby.
