Jindal Rice Mills

We are located right along Malerkotla Road. Jindal Rice Mills is just a plain brick and steel building where we handle the paddy coming in from the surrounding fields. Most days, it is just a routine of checking the moisture and making sure the mill is running right. It gets loud when everything is switched on at once. The traffic on Malerkotla Road is always moving, so we see a lot of people passing by our gates. We have been here for a good while, and the building has seen better days, but it still does the job it was built for. There is no point in having a fancy setup if the work gets done regardless. Sometimes we sit outside on old wooden chairs during the breaks, just watching the trucks go by. The guys in the back are usually covered in dust, but nobody complains much. It is just the nature of the business. We get the rice in, we peel it, and we stack it up. It is repetitive, but there is a rhythm to it that feels okay. Some years are better than others depending on the rain. We just take it as it comes. Nothing fancy, just a local mill on the side of the road trying to keep things moving. It's a simple life, really, just work and home and back again the next day. We don't have big ads or anything. We just exist here on the road and do our daily tasks.
