Egis Bceom

Our office is in Malerkotla, which is a nice change from the bigger cities in Punjab. We are situated in the Rose Avenue Colony, specifically on Mohanlal Malia road. It is a pretty quiet residential area mostly, so it stays calm throughout the day. At Egis Bceom, we have a simple setup. There are a couple of big tables where we spread out the maps and documents we are working on. The sun shines quite brightly through the front windows in the afternoon, so we have to pull the curtains shut. We have a small garden area out front that someone tries to keep tidy, though the weeds usually win in the end. People around here are friendly and often stop to say hello if they see us outside. We drink a lot of chai during the day, usually brought in from the corner stall. The building isn't brand new, it has some character and maybe a few cracks in the plaster here and there. We don't mind it because it feels like home after being here so long. It is just a handful of us managing the daily tasks. We make sure the files are organized and the phone calls are answered. It is not a fast-paced environment, but we get things done at our own speed. Living and working in Malerkotla has its own rhythm that we have grown used to.
