About Shahi Exports – Fashion & Trends in Maler Kotla
We are located at Shop No. 63 in the New Grain Market, so as you can imagine, it is a very active place to be. Shahi Exports has been here since the market was first set up, and we have seen a lot of changes in the types of shops around us. Being in a grain market means there is always a lot of dust and the smell of various crops in the air. Our shop is mostly used for the administrative side of the export business and some light storage. It’s not very big, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the crates and the documents. We usually keep the front shutters half-open during the day to let some air in. The street outside is always filled with carts and people shouting, so it is never quiet. We have a small wooden table where we do all our signing and stamps. Most of the time, we are just busy coordinating with the drivers who come in to pick up the orders. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that move the air around. It is a very traditional way of working, I suppose, but it is what we have always known. We know the tea stall owner by name and usually get a few cups delivered every day while we work.
