At Mk Cement Articles, we are located right on the Agra Highway near the Kanda Market in the Nashik Zodge area. It’s a very open spot, which is good because we need the space for all the cement work we do. We make various things out of concrete like poles, rings, and other small items. The work is very physical and we spend most of our time outdoors or under a simple tin roof. There is always a lot of sand and cement dust around, so we’re usually pretty messy by lunchtime. We use simple molds and mix the concrete ourselves. It’s not a complicated process, but it takes time for things to set properly. Being near the highway is handy for the trucks that come to pick up the finished pieces. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just us, the mixer, and the molds. The weather plays a big part in how our week goes; if it rains, things take longer to dry. We don’t do any fancy advertising. Most people see our products lined up by the side of the road and just pull over to ask about prices. It’s a straightforward way to do business. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the noise from the highway traffic is just something we don’t even notice anymore. It’s a hard, honest living and we just keep producing what’s needed.
