Maharishi Vidya Mandir Kopargaon

Maharishi Vidya Mandir Kopargaon has been running out of Sagar Plaza for quite a while now. It is right across from the Dutta Temple in Wadgaonsheri, so the area gets pretty busy, especially during the morning prayers and local festivals. Most people around Pune 14 know where we are because of the landmark. The office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a few desks and shelves filled with old folders and books. We spend most of our time dealing with families and students coming in to ask questions or drop off papers. It gets a bit noisy sometimes because of the traffic on the main road outside, but you eventually stop noticing it after a few weeks. Our staff stays busy with the day-to-day work, mostly just keeping things moving and making sure everyone is where they need to be. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open up the windows and let the air in while we wait for it to come back. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most modern place in the city, just a steady spot where folks can get things sorted without too much trouble. Dr. Akil Shaikh’s name is usually on the mail that comes here. If you stop by in the evening, you can hear the temple bells, which is actually a nice way to end the workday. It is just how things go for us here.
