Our office is a bit unusual because we are actually located inside the building for Shanti Automobiles. If you come to Kopergaon and head towards the area opposite the bus stand, you will find us there. It is a very busy spot with all the local and long-distance buses coming and going at all hours. The sound of engines and people shouting is pretty much the background music for our daily work. I am Shrenik, and I work here with a small team of people. We have our desks set up with various drawings and some old computers that we use for our plans. It is not a glass-and-steel corporate office like you see in the big cities. It is more of a functional space where we can meet people and discuss their building projects. Sometimes there is a bit of a grease smell from the auto shop next door, but we have all gotten used to it over the years. We drink a lot of tea while we sit and look over various blueprints. People drop in without any appointments all the time. They might just be looking for some quick advice on a small house or a warehouse they want to build. We use simple tools and keep all our files in those old-fashioned metal cupboards. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint.
