Balaji Traders

We are located over at Plot No- 4 in the main Market Yard area. Being so close to the RTO office on Comp Road makes it very easy for the truck drivers and transporters to find our gates. Balaji Traders deals with a lot of heavy goods. We almost always have big sacks and wooden crates piled up everywhere you look. It is a noisy and dusty place to work, with trucks constantly backing in and out all through the morning. The dust from the yard gets into everything, so we are always having to wipe down our desks and chairs. It is certainly not the kind of place where you would wear a suit and tie. We just wear our old clothes and some sturdy work boots. Most of our day is spent checking through paper invoices and making sure the loading of the vehicles is being done correctly. We have a very small office tucked into the corner of the big warehouse with just a single light bulb hanging down. It gets the job done for us. We have been working in this yard for a long time and we know almost all the other traders nearby. We often share news about the current market prices and who is buying what this week. Sometimes we take a quick tea break together under the shade of the big neem tree just outside the gate. It is hard physical work, especially when the weather gets very humid and sticky. We don't have a marketing team.
