Shyamlalpara Impex is located in the small village of Shyamlalpara, which is under the Nurpur post office in Malda. It’s a quiet life out here, away from the big cities. We handle our import and export work from a very simple office that fits right into the village surroundings. There isn’t any neon lighting or glass elevators. We just have our workspace and the quiet of the 732203 area. Malda is known for its mangoes and its history, but for us, it’s just where we live and work every day. Our team is small, mostly locals who understand how things move in this part of West Bengal. We spend our time on the phone or checking deliveries, often while the neighborhood goats wander past the door. It’s not a high-pressure environment with people in suits. We wear what’s comfortable and focus on the tasks we have for the day. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in a village. We don't try to look bigger than we are. Shyamlalpara Impex is a local operation through and through. We know the people at the Nurpur post office by name, and they know us. It’s a slow and steady way of doing business, making sure the goods get where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. We close the doors before sunset and head home to our families, ready to do it again tomorrow. It’s just us doing our part in the village.
