Fdfd (Future Deployment Financial Development) Nidhi Limited

Our little office for Fdfd Nidhi Limited is located out in Kandaran, which is a bit of a trek if you are not from around Malda. We are set up at Krishna Bagdi’s place, he is Suren Bagdi’s son. It is a village setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Most people around here just call us the Future Deployment Financial Development group, though that is a mouthful. We focus on helping the local folks with their small savings and bits of money they want to set aside. Being in a rural spot means we see a lot of familiar faces every day. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with some registers and a couple of chairs. We spend our mornings checking the entries and making sure everything matches up. Malda can get really hot in the summer, so we usually have the windows wide open to catch any breeze. It is a very local thing, we know the families and the problems they face. We are not trying to be some big corporate bank. We just want to make sure the people in P.O. Kandaran have a place to deal with their money without having to travel all the way into the main town. It is hard work sometimes, especially when the harvest is on and everyone is busy, but we stay here and keep the doors open for everyone.
