Our office is located in Malda, specifically at Mirchak Battali. The house number is 119 and the pin is 732101. Malda has a very specific feel to it, and Mirchak Battali is a busy little pocket. There’s a lot of local activity around here. The building we are in is quite simple. It doesn't stand out much from the other houses on the street. We have a small sign, but mostly people just know us by the address. Inside, the rooms are cool because the walls are thick. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of metal cupboards for our records. There is a window that looks out towards the main path where you can see people going to the market. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in, so we have to wipe down the tables every morning. It’s a very practical setup. We don't have fancy lights or designer chairs. It’s just a place to work. Being in Malda means the weather can get really hot, so the fans are almost always running. We are part of the local scene here, and neighbors often drop by just to say hello or ask a question. It’s a comfortable spot that feels like it belongs in the neighborhood. We’ve been here at number 119 for a while now and we don't plan on moving anytime soon.
