We are located right by the NTPC site in Farakka. Our office is in the FSTPP area, and the post office is Nabarun in the Murshidabad district. It’s a busy industrial zone because of the power plant. We’ve been here for a while, working on various technical jobs. There’s always a bit of coal dust in the air, but that’s normal for this part of West Bengal. We handle a lot of the engineering needs for the site. It’s a big operation, but our office is quite simple. We have a few rooms with desks and plenty of blueprints laying around. The workers come and go, and there's a lot of chatter about the day's tasks. We don’t really do fancy meetings. Most things are settled with a conversation on the way to the site. It’s a very practical way of working. Murshidabad is a long way from the big cities, but we have everything we need here. We’ve got a small team that knows the plant inside and out. The days are long, especially when something needs fixing urgently. We just focus on the job and getting things done right. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s important work for the power sector. We are just a group of people doing our part in Farakka.
