Out in Village Arapur, you can find us at Shiv Ganga Package Drinking Water. We are located near the English Bazar police station, which is a landmark most people in this area know well. Being in a village means things are a bit quieter than in the big cities, but we still keep ourselves quite busy. We set up this facility because there was a need for it here. Every morning we start early to get the water packaged and ready for the day. It is a lot of lifting and moving crates around, but we are a sturdy group of workers. The roads around Arapur can be a bit rough sometimes, especially when it rains, but our drivers know the paths by heart. We do not have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just us, the machines, and the water. Most of the people working here are from the village itself or very close by. We talk about local things while we work and keep an eye on the clock. It feels good to have a steady place to work so close to home. The police station being nearby makes the area feel safe and easy to navigate for people who aren't from around here. We just do our work and go home when the sun sets. It is a practical life and we just take it one day at a time.
