Santi Hari Store

Out here in Pakua Hat, you’ll find the Santi Hari Store. We are part of the Bamangola area in Malda district. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the people living around here, we’re just a part of the landscape. The store isn’t very big, and it’s tucked away in the village. We carry a bit of everything that people might need in their daily lives. The morning usually starts with sweeping the front and making sure everything is where it should be. Since we are in a more rural spot, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by name. It’s more of a community thing than just a business. Sometimes we spend more time chatting with neighbors than actually selling things, but that’s how it works here. The weather plays a big role in our day; if it rains hard, we don’t see many people. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. We just rely on being here when people need us. The shelves are a bit crowded and the lighting could be better, but it serves its purpose. We’ve been in Pakua Hat for a long time, and we don’t plan on going anywhere else. It’s just a simple life running a small store and helping out the folks in Malda. It isn't much, but it's what we do.
