Pankaj Mandal & Co. is our small business located in the village post of Popra, within the Old Malda block. It is a quiet area, and life moves a bit slower here than it does in the bigger towns. We have been here in Popra for a long time, and everyone in the village knows where we are. Our setup is very simple and doesn't have any of the bells and whistles you might find in a city office. We work out of a modest building that serves as our base for everything we do. Most of our days are spent dealing with local matters and making sure things are running smoothly for the people who rely on us. Old Malda is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that. We don't have a fancy website or social media pages because we prefer to talk to people face to face. There is a lot of green around us and not too much traffic, which we like. Sometimes we sit out front when the work is slow and just watch the day go by. We are just a local company run by people who live right here in the village. We don't have a corporate structure, just a few of us working together to get things done. It is a practical, no-nonsense way of living and working in Popra.
