Gitaram Hospital

Running a hospital in Kolkata means things are always moving. Gitaram Hospital has been part of the city for a bit now. If you walk inside, you’ll see it’s a pretty straightforward place. We have the usual wards, some consultation rooms, and a lot of people coming in and out at all hours. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and it feels the same way here. We see all kinds of cases. Some days are quiet, but most of the time, there is a lot of chatter in the hallways and the sound of trolleys being pushed around. We don't spend much on fancy decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on the patients and getting them what they need. Our nurses are usually the busiest people in the building, always checking charts or helping someone out of bed. The tea stall right outside is where most of us go when we get a five-minute break. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when it’s hot and the humidity hits, but the staff here is used to it. We just try to keep the place clean and functional. It’s a local hospital for local people. We don’t have big advertisements or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live just a few blocks away.
