Franklyn Institution

Franklyn Institution is located out in New Gayesh Pur, near the Jhaljhalia post office in the Malda district. Being further away from the big city of Kolkata gives our place a different feel. It’s a bit quieter here, and we know most of our neighbors. We set this place up because there weren't many options for people in this part of Malda to get the training they needed. It’s a simple building, nothing fancy, just some classrooms and a small office area. We spend our days teaching and helping students figure out their next steps. Sometimes the rain makes the roads around here a bit muddy, but the students still show up. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who handle everything from the teaching to the cleaning. Our phone number, 9332931316, is usually written on a piece of paper taped to the door for anyone who needs to reach us. It’s a very grassroots kind of operation. We don't use flashy brochures or expensive ads. Most people hear about us through word of mouth from someone else in the village or the nearby towns. We just focus on the basics and try to make sure everyone who comes through our doors learns something useful. It’s rewarding to see people from our own community getting ahead. Life in Malda moves at its own pace, and we are happy to be a part of it here in New Gayesh Pur.
