Crossroad Logistics

Crossroad Logistics operates out of 5/34, Bijoygarh, down in the southern part of Kolkata. Bijoygarh is a nice, older neighborhood with a lot of history and very narrow lanes. We are tucked away in a building that looks like any other house on the street. Doing logistics from here can be a bit tricky when we have to get vehicles close, but we’ve managed to figure it out over the years. Our office is a simple room with a few tables and some old fans that hum all day long. We deal with moving goods across the state and sometimes further, acting as the middleman to make sure stuff actually gets delivered. We don't have any flashy advertisements or a big corporate mission. It’s mostly just us answering the phone, talking to transporters, and making sure the paperwork is in order. The atmosphere is very laid back. We usually have the radio on in the background, playing old Bengali songs. Sometimes we spend more time talking to the neighbors than doing work, but that’s just the vibe in Bijoygarh. It’s a local business through and through. We know the tea stall owners nearby and they know us. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to keep the deliveries on time and make a living from this little office in West Bengal.
