Malappuram has its own pace, and we definitely feel that here. Our office isn’t hard to spot once you get onto the Oneway road, which can be a bit of a headache during peak hours when everyone is trying to squeeze through. We have been working out of this space for some time, and the walls have seen plenty of people coming and going. It’s a typical local office with a couple of fans whirring away to keep the Malappuram heat at bay. We spend most of our time looking at ledgers and making sure everything is written down correctly. It isn't very glamorous work, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how things go around here. Neighbors stop in to talk about their accounts or to finish up some forms they took home last week. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. Just some plastic chairs and a water cooler in the corner. We know most of the people who walk in by their first names because they live just down the street or over in the next block. It’s a quiet life mostly.
