Tiny Teddies Play School

Tiny Teddies Play School is based in Kololamba, which is near Edappal in Malappuram. It’s a simple play school for the local kids. The building is easy to spot once you get into the Kololamba area. Inside, we have painted the walls with some bright colors to make it look a bit more cheerful for the children. There are mats on the floor where they sit and play with blocks or look at picture books. It’s a noisy place, especially in the mornings when everyone arrives. We don't follow a very strict corporate schedule. We just try to keep the kids busy and happy. There’s a small space outside where they can run around for a bit before the heat gets too bad. Edappal is a busy town, but our corner in Kololamba feels more like a village. We see the same neighbors every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to keep it cool. We don't have any big slogans or anything. It’s just us looking after the little ones. The staff is mostly local women who have been doing this for a long time. We treat the kids like they are our own. It’s a practical job, and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the kids are safe and fed.
