Saranadhara Foundation

Our office is just Room No.1 at Polpakkara Madam. It’s right there in the Polpakkara area of Edappal. Malappuram is a busy place, but our little corner is usually pretty calm. The room isn’t very big. We have just enough space for a few desks and a shelf for all our files. We spend most of our time here just getting through the administrative side of the foundation. It’s not glamorous work. There are a lot of forms to fill out and people to call. We usually have the door open to let a breeze in. The neighbors are friendly and sometimes stop by to say hello. We don’t have a big budget for fancy stuff. Our furniture is mostly mismatched and old. But it serves the purpose. We started this because we wanted to be involved in the local community. We don't have a grand vision. We just take it one project at a time. Some days are busier than others. When it’s monsoon season, the road outside gets quite muddy. We just wear our boots and keep coming in. It’s a simple life. We aren't trying to change the world overnight. We just want to handle our responsibilities here in Edappal. The ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have any big corporate donors. It's mostly just us and the work we do.
