It’s a well-known spot in the area, so we don’t usually have to give too many directions once people get to Panakkad. Being in a building called a Tourist Home might sound a bit funny for a council, but it’s just where our office is. It’s a busy part of Malappuram and there’s always something happening nearby. We aren’t a massive government department; we’re just a council trying to keep things organized. The office is full of files and old wooden desks. It’s not the most modern look, but it works perfectly for what we need to do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters.
