Malabar Traders

You will find us on the road heading to Karuvarakundu, right in the Melattur area. We have been operating as Malabar Traders for a good while now. It is a green part of the world, especially when the rains come down hard. Our shop is just a plain building where we keep all sorts of items that people around here need. We do not specialize in just one thing; it is more about what the locals are asking for in their daily lives. The Karuvarakundu Road can get a bit busy with buses and bikes, but otherwise, it is a fairly quiet place to work. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stock and talking to the people who drop in. Many of our regulars have been coming here for years, and we know exactly what they want before they even ask. We have stacks of bags and crates cluttering up the corners. The roof makes a lot of noise when it rains, and sometimes we have to move things around to keep them dry. It is not a modern showroom with bright lights and fancy glass doors. It is just a place with a concrete floor and a few wooden tables. We stay open until the evening, then we lock up the heavy shutters and go home. It is a steady way to live, and we like being part of the Melattur community. There is always someone stopping by for a chat or a small item they forgot earlier.
