Malabar Hospital

We are located at Malabar Hospital along the Rajiv Gandhi Bypass. Being in the Karuvambram Thurakkal area means we get a lot of people stopping by who are just passing through on the bypass, but we also see the regulars from right here in Thurakkal. The bypass can get noisy with all the trucks and cars, but inside it stays mostly quiet. We have been working out of this spot for a while now. The hallways are long and we try to keep the floors swept throughout the day because people bring in dust from the road. Our staff stays busy with the charts and making sure everyone knows where to go. It’s a plain building, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it serves its purpose for the community. Sometimes the parking gets a bit tight near the entrance, especially in the mornings when the shift changes. We have a small area where people can sit while they wait for their families. It’s a lot of routine work, checking names and filling out forms. You can see the trees from some of the back windows, which is a nice change from the bypass view. We just keep doing what we do here in Karuvambram. It’s a straightforward place to work, and we try to make sure the lights stay on and the patients are seen in a decent amount of time.
