M K R Rubber Industries

Down here at No 12 in the Fie area of Chathallur, Manjeri, you’ll find M K R Rubber Industries. It’s a place that smells like raw rubber most of the time, which you get used to after about a week. We work with rubber products, mostly processing and getting things ready for bigger manufacturers to use. The machinery we use is old but it’s sturdy and we know how to fix it when it acts up. Manjeri is a decent place to work, even if the rain sometimes makes the roads around Chathallur a bit of a mess. Our team is small, just a handful of guys from the local area who know the trade. We don’t have a big corporate structure or human resources department. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over lunch. We’ve seen the industry change quite a bit over the years, but the basic way we handle the rubber hasn't changed all that much. It’s hard work, and your hands usually end up pretty dirty by the end of the shift. We make sure the batches are right and that the quality is what it needs to be for the next step in the process. We don’t bother with fancy slogans. M K R Rubber Industries is just a local workshop doing what needs to be done. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and everyone paid.
