Our office is right there in Vattaparambil House. It is not a regular office building, just a house in Klari South where we do our work. It feels more comfortable that way for everyone involved. Edarikkode is a quiet area mostly, though the post office nearby gets its fair share of visitors during the day. We spend a lot of our time dealing with things related to the land and the plants around this part of the country. There is usually a bit of mud on the floor because someone is always coming in from the fields or the yard. We do not mind it much because that is just part of the job. The rooms are a bit dark, which is actually quite nice when the sun is hitting the roof hard in the afternoon. We have a big wooden table where we sit and talk about what needs to be done for the week. There is no big corporate vibe here, just us trying to keep things moving. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to chat or ask for advice on their own projects. We have a lot of paperwork to fill out, which takes up more time than we would like. But that is how it goes. The mail comes to the Edarikkode Post Office and we walk over to pick it up. It is a simple routine that we have followed for years.
