Keranad Nidhi Limited is situated at Kacherippadi in Manjeri, Malappuram. Our door number is 33/1083 F. It’s a busy little area, and the office is right in the middle of it all. We don't have a massive staff, just enough of us to handle the people who come in to save their money or settle their accounts. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel to it. There’s always a stack of papers on the desks and the sound of the ceiling fan humming in the background. We get a lot of people from the local market dropping in during their lunch breaks. It’s a very practical arrangement. We focus on the daily tasks like checking interest rates and updating the passbooks for our members. Since we are in Manjeri, there is always something going on outside, and the noise of the bikes and buses is just part of the day. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when we are busy. We don’t use fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand in big books. It feels more personal that way. We know the families around here and their stories. When the day is over, we tidy up the desks, lock the heavy wooden door, and head out into the Malappuram heat. It’s just a normal day of work for us.
