We are located at 28/96 A, right by the Sunday Bazarpookayil area in Tirur. It’s a lively part of town, especially when the market is going. Our group, Jaivakarshika Punarjeevana Sangham Llp, is just a small outfit of people who care about local agriculture. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls. It’s a simple room where we meet and talk about what needs to be done. Most of us have been farming or working with the land for most of our lives. Tirur is a good place for this kind of thing because people still care about where their food comes from. We spend our time talking to other farmers and trying to keep things going the old way, but with a bit more organization. The office is often full of the smell of the market outside. We don’t have any slick sales pitches. We just tell people what we’re doing and why we think it matters for the soil. Sometimes the meetings go on for a long time, and we drink a lot of tea while we argue about the best way to plant. We have to deal with the same problems everyone else does, like the weather and the prices. It’s not a shortcut to wealth, just a way to live and work that feels right to us. We’re just a bunch of locals doing our best here in Tirur.
