Hastaa Designing Studio

If you are driving down Malapuram Road toward Muttippalam in Anakkayam, you’ll find us at Build No 441. We are pretty close to the petrol pump, which is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. Hastaa Designing Studio is where we spend most of our hours. It’s a working studio, so there’s usually a bit of a mess. Sketches, fabric swatches, and different types of wood samples are usually scattered around. We don't bother tidying up too much because we are always right in the middle of something. The team here is small. We’ve known each other for a while and we just work together to get the designs right. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes we disagree on a color or a layout, but we eventually settle on something that makes sense. Being in the Malappuram area, we get a lot of local folks coming in. They aren't looking for anything too corporate. They just want something that looks good and works for their homes. We don't use any fancy software to impress people; we just show them what we are thinking. The office can get a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. It’s a simple life here at the studio. We just keep our heads down and try to do right by the people who come to see us near the pump.
