We are based out of Kondotty in Malappuram, specifically at the ground floor of house 15/225 in Kottukara. This area is where we handle all our vegetable business. It is a quiet spot in Kerala but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. My name is on the registration as an LLP, and we mostly focus on getting fresh produce ready for shipping out. The weather here in Malappuram is usually good for the types of vegetables we deal with, although the rainy season can sometimes make things a bit tricky for transport. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of the greens and roots that come through our door. It isn't a massive operation with fancy offices, just a practical space where we get the work done. The ground floor location helps a lot because we are moving boxes in and out all day long. Sometimes the trucks arrive late, or the sorting takes longer than we thought, but that is just how it goes in this trade. We know the local farmers around Ernad pretty well by now. We started this because we saw a lot of good food here that people in other places might want. It’s a lot of physical work and paperwork combined. We keep things straightforward and try not to overcomplicate the day-to-day tasks. Most days we are just covered in dust and trying to find where the last invoice went.
