Basmala English School

If you go to number 3 on the Meeshapadi Varnakkara Road, that is where you will find us. We are a small school that has been part of this street for quite some time now. The area around us is mostly residential, so we have a lot of kids who just walk over from their houses nearby. It is a pretty quiet road for the most part, except for when school starts and ends. The building is simple and doesn't stand out too much from the other structures on the street. Inside, we have our classrooms set up with the basics. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do; we just teach the kids and make sure they are safe while they are here. The staff are people from around here who care about the neighborhood. You might see us out front sweeping the walkway or talking to a parent who stopped by. It’s a very informal atmosphere, like a big family in some ways. We don't have a lot of extra space, but we make use of every corner we have. It’s just a honest, local place where children come to learn their English and other subjects. We have been a part of the Meeshapadi community for a long time and we like being tucked away on this road. It’s just a regular part of life for the families who live around this corner and walk past us.
