Out here on Mosco Road in Perashannoor, things move at a different pace than the big cities. We’ve been running the Ayurjiva Ayurvedic Treatment & Research Centre India Pvt Ltd for a while now. It’s right near Kuttippuram. Most mornings start with the smell of herbs being prepared and the sound of the gates opening. It is a practical place. We have the research side where people look at old texts and try to figure things out, and then the treatment side where patients actually come to stay. The building isn't anything fancy, just a solid place where the work gets done. Sometimes the rain here in Kuttippuram gets really heavy and we just sit and listen to it hit the roof while we wait for the next person to arrive. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, the staff, and the local folks who know where we are. Dealing with the paperwork for the private limited company part can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but that is just how it is. We try to keep things organized, though some days the files pile up on the desks. It’s a quiet life in Perashannoor, and we prefer it that way. People find us because they need help with their health, and we just do what we can with the knowledge we have. It’s honest work, even if the days are long and the mosquitoes are out in the evenings.
